Okay, so I had some free time today. Here's something i thought up:
"I shouldn't be here," she mumbled to herself. "This isn't right."
She walked down the quiet hallway and into the girls bathroom. Running her hand along the tiles on the walls, she took note of the blood running down her back. She'd managed to keep her jacket on during class, so no one had noticed. She figured there would be a major stain to wash out later that night.
"Jason, why did we come?" she called for him. His body faded into sight.
"I'm sorry. I didn't realize this would happen. Not like this. None of us anticipated it," he responded. "Could you pick the other bathroom next time? Just because you were alone coming in here, doesn't mean that you were going to be alone again when you actually entered."
"Well, sorry. I'm a girl and I have a girls pass," I held up my bathroom pass so that he could see.
"So, what now? They'll come looking for me if I'm not in and out fast....and if I leave blood every where."
"Let me see." Jason said as she spun around; her back to him. She shrugged off her jacket and allowed him to pull up the back of her shirt so he could see the wound. "Do you know how this looks?"
"I can't see my back, you know."
Jason sighed. "I meant have you looked at it in the mirror yet?"
"No. I just got in here." Taylor responded.
He pulled her over to the mirror so that she was able to see. Taylor gasped when she saw the bloody "X" in the center of her back. Her shirt was ruined; the green replaced by a bright red.
"This isn't good." she said as her eyes looked up at Jason's reflection.
"No, it isn't. Orion should not have been able to do this to you. Not in the middle of a class with humans in the room, at least. On the battlefield, fine. At least it happened now. He would not have done worse unless you were alone; not near humans. At least now we could easily stop the bleeding." Jason said as he slowly pulled Taylor's shirt back down; Taylor flinched when the material rubbed up against her mark.
"Can you please hurry up and get rid of it?!" Taylor cried.
"Sh!" Jason warned. But he did as he was told. He gently placed his hands on her back and concentrated on healing her. To check and see if it had healed, he lifted her shirt back up and sighed. She was okay. She was safe. For a moment, anyway.
"Thank you." Taylor managed a laugh of relief. She turned to face him again and stared up at his face. He wound his arms around her waist and quickly kissed her forehead.
"I'm just glad you're alright. I don't think we'd manage without your help." Jason said.
Taylor laughed again; this time more freely.
"If it wasn't for you, Percy, and Arron, I'd already be dead now. It's hard for a hybrid to survive in this world."
"Especially for you. Every corner you turn, Orion is waiting. We have to find a way to stop him forever. Stop him from hurting others of your kind. You're the first vampire/human I know. You've got basically the best of both worlds; good and evil. But the danger is amplified. Orion want you most, for some reason."
"I'm something else too, you know."
"Something else?"
"I have powers, remember? I'm also part witch. How else would I have survived the other attacks without help?"
"True," Jason paused as they heard footsteps coming down the hallway. "Looks like I should go." He whispered. Taylor quickly kissed him then released him, he faded from her vision once more.
The door swung open.
"Are you alright, Miss Taylor?" Ms. Jarred asked.
"Yes, Ms. Jarred. I'm sorry. I have.... my period and I had forgotten my pads. It won't happen again."
She nodded and escorted her back to the classroom, whereTaylor took her seat once more next to Simon.
