#5

Demonic friends are a bust. Kidding. They're a riot! Always having to control themselves before they set something on fire. And when they do set something on fire (like in school), the fire alarm gets pulled and water falls from the ceilings. Later, we laugh it all off and try to hide the fact that we know who started the fire.

Sometimes having a demon friend is dangerous. Considering they might be an enemy to your kind, someone might try and vanquish one of you. Yeah, that part isn't so spiffy. But the playing with fire and other elements combined (considering the other's (maybe yours) powers or affinity's for certain if not all elements). Yeah, magickal discussions and "experiments" are the highlight of you day, by far.

Playing with the dragons is even better. When they're big enough, you might even be able to ride them if they allow you to. I know for a fact that the red dragons and green dragons are two of the largest dragons. The white ones are the smallest. I, being so very lucky, have 1 red, 1 green, and 2 that are white. All of them are beautiful, no doubt; all dragons are. They're natural born pranksters, which just adds to the excitement.

"Want to see what we can screw with today?" Jon asked me.

"Absolutely." I responded and the gleam in his eye grew more bright with mischief. "See you there, slow poke!" I taunted as I changed into my true form and headed for the school. He screamed "No fair!" after me and tried to blink over to the school before anyone saw us. Jon's a younger demon, so the whole blinking thing is more difficult for him to do during school hours. But he still gets around all right.

Jon managed to blink ahead of me. I morphed back and scowled at my demon. Notice how I saw my demon? I'm very much possessive of him. He's my only magickal friend around here; the only one who gets everything.

"Who's slow now?" Jon asked. I made the water from a puddle behind Jon engulf him, leaving him trapped in a bubble. I laughed at his expense and commanded the water to fall. It ended up drenching him, which made me laugh even harder. Now it was his turn to scowl. I knew it was difficult for him to use fire when he was doused in water.

"Sorry," I said and commanded fire to come and dry him off. It worked instantly. He continued to scowl and lifted his hand. A ball of fire began to form and he readied himself to throw it in my direction. I prepared myself for the blow.

Jon threw the fireball and I quickly held my palm to the ball and caught it. Because I had an affinity for fire, this wasn't difficult. Both Jon and I were fairly new at this, but we understood how things worked. A lot of times we went and relied on our instincts. Sometimes we got ourselves into trouble. Like the time I almost morphed into a werewolf during science class because everyone was trying to ruin my day. So, I ran to the bathroom in time and waited it out. I had debated on running out of there and causing chaos in the hallway. But I decided against it.

"Sometimes it really pays off for you to be able to do that." Jon said. I knew he couldn't control his anger. Neither of us could.

"I know. But don't worry about it." I said smiling at him. We walked to the school and tried our best not to throw any water or fire at each other.

When we got inside, we went to our separate homerooms and took our seats.

I don't want to make this too long, so if I have time, I'll continue with this in several other blogs. I'm trying to cut back on length =]
